On Friday, September 11, the “Zebre Parma Business Tour” promotional event took place at the headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin, a strategic initiative that combines sports diplomacy with the enhancement of Made in Italy food and wine excellence.<\/p>\n
The meeting, promoted by the Zebre Parma rugby franchise and organized by the ICE Agency (ITA) with the support of the Embassy of Italy in Dublin and the Italian Cultural Institute, saw the participation of approximately 50 selected operators and buyers from the Irish and international agri-food market.<\/p>\n
The event was held on the eve of the highly anticipated pre-season friendly match between Zebre Parma and the champions of Leinster Rugby, held on Saturday, September 12 at the Laya Arena at the RDS in Dublin.<\/p>\n
Opening the evening, after the introduction by the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Michela Magr\u00ec, was the institutional greeting of the Ambassador of Italy to Ireland, H.E. Nicola Faganello, in the presence of key local sports and business authorities, including the leadership of the Irish Rugby Football Union, Leinster Rugby, and the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n
During his address, Ambassador Faganello emphasized the value of sport as a promotional vehicle and a tool for economic growth, highlighting how the synergy of the “Sistema Italia” allows companies of excellence to penetrate dynamic markets such as the Irish one. Following this, the President of Zebre Parma, Giovanni Fava, illustrated the objectives of the Business Tour, designed to transform the team’s international away trips into genuine internationalization platforms for its corporate partners.<\/p>\n
The central moments of the evening featured the presentation and tasting of symbolic products of the Italian gastronomic tradition, promoted thanks to the collaboration of industry excellences: Amoretti \/ Corte Parma, the Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, the Consorzio di Tutela della Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP, the Consorzio Tutela Vini DOC delle Venezie, and Tenute Venturini Foschi.<\/p>\n
Before the start of the product tastings and open networking, the formal presentation of the official Zebre Parma match jerseys to Ambassador Faganello and Director Magr\u00ec took place by President Giovanni Fava and head coach Massimo Brunello, sealing the deep bond between sport, culture, and institutions.<\/p>\n
The initiative confirms how the integration between the sports value chain and the agri-food supply chain represents a strategic driver for exports, to reinforce the presence of authentic Italian agri-food products in this country as well, and for the consolidation of bilateral relations between Italy and Ireland.<\/p>\n
