School trips for pupils

Non-EU children on a school trip can travel visa-free to Italy as long as:

  • They are a pupil at a general education school (up to sixth form) in the Republic of Ireland.
  • They are on an organised school trip with their own school.
  • They have their own valid passport, recognised by Italy.
  • They are resident in the Republic of Ireland (valid residence permit).
