Documents to be submitted:

Application for transcription of birth certificate – New form [CLICK HERE]

Photocopy of the passports or valid ID documents of both parents and of the child (if already available);

Original birth certificate issued by the Irish Civil Status Office;

Translation of the original birth certificate into Italian (to be provided by the applicant);

Citizenship certificate of the Italian parent, specifying the place, date, and method of acquisition of Italian citizenship, issued by the relevant Italian municipality;

Historical residence certificates issued by all Italian municipalities where the Italian parent resided, after acquiring Italian citizenship.
