The Italian Ambassador to Dublin, Nicola Faganello, visited the Irish offices of the d’Amico Group today, at the invitation of the Director of the Irish office, Giuseppe Oliveri. The visit was also attended by the President of the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce, Furio Pietribiasi, and the Head of the Embassy’s ICE Desk, Chiara Giorgini.
Present in Ireland since 2001, the d’Amico Group is one of the first Italian companies to establish itself in the country and is a founding member of the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce. The company is a global leader in maritime transport and ranks among the main shipping companies operating in Ireland, active in the dry cargo and product tanker sectors, as well as in complementary and auxiliary shipping activities.
The meeting provided an opportunity to visit the offices, located in a scenic position along the River Liffey overlooking the Samuel Beckett Bridge, and to meet the Italian Board of Directors of the d’Amico Group, including CEO Cesare D’Amico, alongside his sons Emanuele D’Amico and Lorenzo D’Amico, together with other members of senior management.
The visit represented an important opportunity to explore the company’s history, share professional experiences, and discuss topics of bilateral interest between Italy and Ireland, with particular attention to the maritime transport sector. The discussion also made it possible to reflect on innovation, challenges, and new development prospects for the sector within the Irish context.
