In 2023, trade between Italy and Ireland amounted to €10.9 billion (+26% compared to 2022), with exports of €3.9 billion (+34.9%) and imports of €7 billion (+21.6%).
Italy is Ireland’s 8th largest customer and 11th largest supplier. The market share of our exports is 2.2%.
The main items of our exports are: pharmaceutical items, manufactured products, machinery and appliances. The main items of our imports are: pharmaceuticals (62%), computers and electronic appliances,substances and chemicals.
In 2022, the stock of Italian FDI in Ireland amounted to €8.9 billion.
