Compatriots are advised to

–   register their travel details on;

 –  take the utmost care with their personal belongings (bags, backpacks, wallets, travel documents, etc.) especially at the airport, on public transport and in tourist areas of Dublin, especially in the city centre and North Dublin;

 –  store travel tickets and documents (passport or ID card) carefully in a safe place, preferably carrying a photocopy to be shown in case of need;

 –  in the event of emergencies, the Consular Office of the Embassy can issue Emergency Travel Documents (ETDs)  to nationals who are temporarily in Ireland, from Monday to Friday during opening hours to the public.

 –  exercise caution especially at weekends, as the consumption of alcoholic beverages is widespread;
