Last Wednesday, 22 July, at Farmleigh House in Dublin, Ambassador Nicola Faganello attended the opening of the “Vision” photographic exhibition, in the presence of the Irish Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works (OPW), Kevin “Boxer” Moran TD.
Organised by the Office of Public Works, the exhibition—open to the public from 23 July to December 2026—showcases the work of 27 photographers from the Member States of the European Union.
The Embassy of Italy and the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin are proud to support the participation of the renowned Italian photographer and “pioneer of colour”, Franco Fontana, in this important initiative. His remarkable work, “Puglia, 1987”, exemplifies the pursuit of synthesis, balance and visual clarity that has always characterised his artistic vision. Displayed alongside works by photographers from across the European Union, it offers a unique and inspiring opportunity to celebrate creativity, imagination and artistic excellence.
