On September 22nd, the Ambassador of Italy to Ireland, Nicola Faganello, welcomed a group of 48 Italian students, accompanied by teachers, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin, together with Director Michela Magrì. The students were visiting Ireland as part of the international language pilot mobility program “ScuolaFutura meets Ireland – Pilot Mobility Programme,” promoted by the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, and the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara.
The initiative, running from September 13 to 26 between Dublin and Cork involving students and teachers from various high schools and regions of Italy, is designed to develop an international learning model that combines improving English language skills with cultural exchange, digital skills development, and career guidance.
The project is part of the Italian Government’s effort to expand study and training experiences abroad for high school students to improve language skills.
The day continued with visits to the National Library of Ireland and Leinster House, the seat of the Irish Parliament, where the students were welcomed by Senator Joe Conway, Convenor of the Italy-Ireland Interparliamentary Friendship Group.
